Datuk Wan Mohammad Sani Salleh
Successful entrepreneurs in Malaysia Datuk Wan Mohammad Sani Salleh. He hails from Kuala Ibai, Kuala Terengganu. He was born on July 24, 1976 (39 years old). He was the fourth child of six siblings. He held the position of Managing Director Sani United Sdn Bhd (Sani Express Sdn Bhd, Sani Properties Sdn Bhd and Sani Hotel Sdn Bhd). He was educated at Sunway College in 1994 in Diploma in Business Management. Various achievements made by her that was conferred Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which carries the title Datuk by the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah (June 2009) and the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award Malays Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) Kuala Lumpur in April, 2009.

To succeed is not an easy thing. Various barriers and obstacles that need to be addressed by him to ensure that this is successful. He was the owner of the bus operation is known to many of Sani Express under the operating company, Sani United Sdn Bhd (SUSB). He started with open repair workshops in places like Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu and so on to try business in the field of transportation such as bus, which has always been an interest. During his student days studying in Kuala Terengganu and his family were in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur. When the opportunity to return to Kuala Lumpur he chose the bus as transportation. When he was 35 years old, this young man already has everything. He already has a luxury bungalow worth RM9 million. In fact, he also has a Ferrari F360 Maders worth RM1 million. Business carried on by him this has yielded millions of ringgit. He also has his own building as a center of business operations with the purchase and renovation costs reaching up to RM7 million. Business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity which is involved in industrial, commercial and professional activities. Business can be classified into two categories, profit and non-profit organization. Business does not refer to multinational companies such as Nestle, KFC and Petronas only but also includes small sized companies such as bakery. In the business world, entrepreneur plays a crucial role to establish successful business. Who is entrepreneurs? Entrepreneur is the people who is combining, managing and organizing the resources in a business (Sobel, 2003). The resources include labour, capital, material, asset and others. The entrepreneurs are willing to take risk and able to face the challenges (Sobel, 2003). The entrepreneurs always seen as an innovator of new ideas and a leader in a business (Entrepreneur, 2016). To become successful entrepreneur, the characteristics that they should have are persuasion, self-confidence, work commitment, efficiency oriented, tolerance for failure, high initiative level, information seeking and problem solving. Entrepreneurs have brought many revolution to the world and change our way of life. Their creative and innovative ideas have made our life easier and more advance. Datuk Wan Mohammad Sani Salleh, founder and managing director, Sani United Sdn Bhd (SUSB) has imperatively altered the travelling experience of Malaysian commuters. Datuk started his career as a singer in the entertainment industry but he soon changed his occupation starting his own venture, a large fleet of buses. While commuting from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu, the idea of starting a network of buses snapped. On January 7, 2007, seven single-deck buses were launched on the roads. In just a year the number of passengers increased and likewise Datuk’s business continued sailing smoothly. With intense competition lingering all around, Sani Express stood out with its hi-tech provision becoming synonymous with bus service. Sani Express is part of the group that runs hotels and provides engineering services as well. Sani Express operates 25 double decker buses on these routes. Sani Express is one of the famous bus industries that offers bus services to all its passengers around within Malaysia. Profit has always been secondary for this young entrepreneur who primarily focused on the safety and comfort of the passengers. Seven years since its inception, Datuk now employess more than 150 people and owns 25 two store buses. All the buses are provided with GPS system for vehicle tracking and recording of information on speed, sudden acceleration and braking for safety purposes.
