Radio and TV broadcaster Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady, has turned a year older today, August 18, 2021.

In celebration, photos of the UTV and Peace FM presenter have flooded social media alongside well wishes.

Among the many photos which have been making the rounds are images of what looks like the wedding of Vim Lady.

In the photos, Vim Lady is seen dressed in colourful kente. Some of the photos had Vim Lady showing off her wedding ring and holding a bridal fan.

One of the photos was shared by Vim Lady herself with the caption:

"I may be forgotten by people but certainly not forgotten by God GRATEFUL ME. Tears of joy I am still here for a reason."

Others, including Despite Media MD Fadda Dickson, also celebrated Afia Pokuaa's birthday with photos of the broadcaster's wedding.

Vim Lady's friend, Ohemaa Woyeje of Angel TV, also shared a wedding photo talking about Vim Lady's marriage and other achievements.

Earlier, Vim Lady had shared a photo in a gorgeous gown with the caption:

"Born to Atta Baffour and Akua Pomaah is by far my biggest blessing, for in all their struggles they gave me W.I.S.D.O.M. Thanking you, LORD, is an understatement. May you guide my steps to continue to SERVE you and not my interests."

Vim Lady's wedding

Vim Lady's wedding was never publicised but she recently came on social media to show off her husband.

The broadcaster shared photos of the handsome man who is based in the United States of America

UTV and Okay FM’s Afia Pokua also known as Vim Lady has shared one of her favourite photos in life on her Instagram page.

The top Ghanaian media personality wore a lace dress and fascinator while displaying her wedding ring in the shot.

Vim Lady did not disclose when she got married but Kasatintin.com has learnt that she tied the knot with her longtime ‘borga’ fiancé Appiah Antwi in January 2021.

The couple are said to have had a private wedding ceremony right here in Ghana.

If you can recall, Vim Lady went off air briefly earlier this year. The break was to give her space to prepare herself for the marriage but rumors said she had left Despite Media.

At the time Vim Lady shared two separate posts to give a clue as to the next move in her life.

First, she wrote ‘The End’ on her Facebook wall, and second, Afia Pokua shared a photo of herself and lover Appiah Antwi on her Instagram page yet none of us understood that she is finally a wedded wife.

In an interview with Hitz FM, another subsidiary of Multimedia, Vim Lady listed the attributes her kind of man should possess and if you are stupid, even if you are rich and handsome, you are automatically disqualified…lol

“I’m tough, a man should also be tough, I go out with men, what tickles me about a man is intellectual discourse, you should be mentally strong up there. You should be able to challenge me, you be mentally strong than me, you shouldn’t be a walkover. Men are not scared of me they enjoy conversations with me, I used to be a Tomboy, the men are never afraid of me, the men are there,’ she stated.

Vim lady added that she is not the most beautiful person on earth as such her mind is her power. She wants a man she can learn something from and will challenge her mentally.

‘My toughness is my weapon, I didn’t create myself, I’m not the most beautiful woman, so everything God gives me I build myself, even growing up I didn’t think I was beautiful, I comot am long ago, so mine is mental strength, how to build that and use that as my advantage”

“The beauty I didn’t get some, so a man has to be better mentally than me and challenge me, and say Afia sit down, but I won’t so you have to give me reasons why I should and then I become weak and I sit,’ Vim lady added.
