As a child, Hailie went to Cherokee Elementary School. She was a stellar student in high school as well, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Michigan in She was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, Art Club, and on the Volleyball Team. In her school profile, she described her parents as the most influential people in her life "because they have pushed me to be the person I am and have given me all the support to achieve what I have." Hailie is Christian and thanks God for her success. Hailie does have two dogs: Shiba Inus Lottie and Wolf.
She went to Michigan State University and she graduated from University with a degree in Psychology in June and a GPA. She reportedly rushed the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
