Razaaq Adoti (born 27 June 1973) is a British actor, producer and screenwriter that appeared in the 2004 film Resident Evil Apocalypse. He played the role of S.T.A.R.S. officer Peyton Wells.

  • Razaaq Adoti (a.k.a. Raz) was born in England to Nigerian parents. He started on the stage at age 17. While still in college, he was cast as Nathan Detroit in the National Youth and Music Theatre Company's (NYMT) production of Guys and Dolls.

    He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in acting at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduation, he was signed by one of London's most reputable talent agencies.

    In 1997, he was cast in a major supporting role in Steven Spielberg's new epic, Amistad.

    After completing Amistad, he returned to London and worked on various television and film projects. In 2001, Adoti played the main antagonist in Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down, Yousuf Dahir Mo'alim. Since then he has gone on to co-star in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, opposite Milla Jovovich, and most recently the movie Cover, directed by Bill Duke.

    Adoti's past television credits include Sky One's award-winning television drama Dream Team, BBC's BAFTA award-winning miniseries Holding On, ITV's award-winning television drama, Soldier Soldier and Channel 4's controversial miniseries Men Only.

    Son of the Soil,  a thrilling new film from Action Xtreme, which commenced filming on location in Lagos, Nigeria last month has wrapped up production. 

    The film, conceived, directed, and produced by Action Xtreme CEO Chee Keong Cheung, follows former Nigerian soldier Zion Ladejo, who is haunted by his past. He is compelled to return to Nigeria after the tragic death of his sister, embarking on a relentless quest for vengeance and redemption. British-Nigerian actor Raz Adoti, who wrote the script and takes on the lead role, is also producing the film.

    The cast includes Africa Movie Academy Award Best Actress nominee Iretiola Doyle, Sunshine Rosman, Philip Asaya, Damilola Ogunsi, Taye Arimoro, Emeka Golden, Sharon Rotimi, and James ‘BlacQ’ Damilare.

    Nigeria-based producer Wingonia Ikpi serves as the line producer and casting director through her company, Boxonia Blueprint, with additional production support from Ioanna Karavela and director of photography Jack Thompson-Roylance.
